Bailey Car Park was built in 2014 by Skipton Castle for locals and visitors to Skipton, Skipton Castle Woods & Skipton Castle – it is within 5 minutes walking distance to all these areas. Bailey Car Park is Skipton’s best value long stay car park. It has oversized car parking bays, making parking comfortable, easily accessed and family friendly. Parking charges go towards the upkeep of Skipton Castle.

The impressive entrance gates with stone pillars and urns have been reclaimed locally and the ground area is made of gravel to support a sustainable drainage system. Nearer Storam is the original name of the field, taken from an 18th century map of Skipton. During medieval times, the field was used to corral deer. Today, you may spot a few friendly Jacob sheep on the carpark's grass outskirts!
